A RARE MINATURE TELESCOPIC SIGHT, MODEL 'ZIELEINS', serial no. 55617,
circa 1935, approximately 6 1/2in. overall with a 5/8in. diameter blued steel tube body flaring to a 13/16in. ocular bell, no facility for adjustment, the interior with a German post and cross 'sniper' reticule, complete with a double-clamp barrel-mount and a leather pair of joined lens-caps
Other Notes: It is believed that these tiny little telescopic sights were used on youth training air-rifles by Nazi Germany and were the fore-runners to the ZF40/41 range of 'sharp-shooter' military telescopic sights
